Become an Independent Tutoring Match Promoter

Attention:  students, tutors, teachers, educators, administrators, homemakers, freelancers, educational consultants, guidance counselors, marketers, and sales representatives and business owners who want to advertise Tutoring Match.

Tutoring Match is currently seeking motivated and entrepreneurial-minded individuals to help significantly increase its tutoring enrollments by circulating information about its services and opportunities to potential parents, students, educators, businesses, community organizations, and persons of influence in your area and/or on the internet.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Some sales experience is recommended
  • Ability to create an effective promotional strategy and deliver results
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow-up and follow-through with contacts
  • Desire to share in the development of a new, unique educational service
  • Computer/internet savvy and able to use programs such as Outlook, Word 97 and Excel
  • Accessible by phone and internet
  • Knowledgeable about your geographic area
  • Dependable transportation (own car or have access to public transportation)

Musts:

  • Desire to share in the development of a new, unique educational service

Based on your interests and/or skills, you can choose to promote TM’s services through communities, businesses, internet and/or other promoters.

Community Activities

  • Print and distribute promotional materials to individuals at community and social events.
  • Place posters, flyers and/or business cards at strategic locations such as child care centers, grocery stores, gyms, medical offices, restaurants, retail shops, etc.
  • Contact local organizations via email and/or calls
  • Use other creative and effective strategies to help you reach a wider audience

Businesses

  • Approach businesses who are interested in developing and increasing their monthly revenue.
    • Request they display TM’s attractive color posters, flyers and business cards at high-visibility areas within their facility in exchange for placement of their logo on TM’s sponsors’ page. 
    • Request a website address exchange
    • Inquire whether the business would like to be a partner, sponsor or advertiser.

Web  Activities

  • Increase traffic to TM’s Web sites by including its logo and/or ad banners anywhere you have a Web  presence (i.e., personal or business Web site, blog, groups page, MySpace, Facebook, etc.)
  • Use Twitter and other social media to develop relationships and encourage the spreading of our url.
  • Post brief and well-written ads on popular free classifieds Web sites.
  • Continuously build your referral contact database with the email addresses of friends, family, coworkers, students, customers and send them TM’s latest offers to encourage enrollments.

Promoters

  • Cultivate and train other promoters who do what you do. 

How it works:

TM will supply each promoter with the following:

  • business cards, flyers, posters and promotional letters
  • all advertising copy
  • guidance, tips and suggestions

Compensation:

Compensation will be based on a commision basis and will be based on volume of enrollments.

Each Promoter will have a Referral Account with a unique code/ID number. The flyers and Web graphics you use to advertise will have this ID listed as a discount code.  When a new student / parent redeems the code, your account will be credited based on the payment table below.  After each match, notification will be emailed to you and commissions for all your referrals will be disbursed monthly through check, direct deposit or PayPal.

How to Get Started:

To become an Independent Promoter, take the following steps:

  • To apply, sign up Create a Account
  • Send a brief cover letter and resume to info@tutoringmatch.com  TM will respond with more information. Please no phone calls.
  • Tutoring Match will contact you to set up an interview (in person, Skype or phone)
  • Complete and sign TM’s Independent Promoter Information & Agreement Form (This will be emailed to you.)
  • Receive TM’s promotional materials kit and begin your promotional / advertising activities.
