Preparation for SATs - This "no-frills" results-oriented course focuses on strategies, tips and short cuts designed to help students understand the complexities of the test. Students develop skills in identifying distracters (wrong answers) thereby arriving at the correct answer. In verbal and writing sessions, special emphasis will be placed on ocabulary, grammar and essays. Math sessions will include understanding common types of math questions.

Returning summer of 2013:
Preparation for SSAT/ISEE - Perfect for students who want to build a solid foundation of test-taking strategy, skills and test-familiarity. Students will be presented with up-to-date strategies for all sections of the test. Test-taking strategy is emphasized during class and practiced on homework. The aim of this course is to make the test less intimidating and more like a challenging game. Each student will receive an overview of the SSAT math and verbal basic skills. The diagnostic test and homework assignments allow each student and the instructor to monitor progress and pinpoint weak areas.
