Our Tutors: Experienced Math, Science, English, Language, Test Prep, Study Skills, Elementary Ed and Social Studies tutors are available to assist your child when he or she needs help.
Our Approach: Tutors work with each student to provide help, not answers, and to bring every session to an educationally sound conclusion.
Our Teaching & Tools: Your child works with a professional tutor using text chat and/or voice chat, drawing problems on an interactive whiteboard, sharing files to review essays and papers, and browsing educational resources on the web together. Depending upon the tutor, a tutorial will use any of the online interactive tools shown here:
Computer Requirements: Our system works with your existing computer, web browser and broadband Internet connection - no special equipment or software is needed.
Availability: Your child connects to a tutor whenever he or she needs help. Your child chooses a tutor and the tutor contacts your child to schedule a time. If you are looking for immediate assistance, the tutor's profile may show a green flashing ONLINE NOW message.
Length of Session: The session may be terminated at any time by the student, and the tutorial time will then be prorated and charged to the nearest quarter hour.
Future Sessions: For each subsequent session (within the same subject) a child may request the same tutor or try another. We recommend staying with the same tutor so as he or she may become familiar with your child's academic strengths and weaknesses and develop the most appropriate method(s) for helping him or her.
Rating the Tutor: At the end of the session, your child will have an opportunity to rate the tutor and provide the tutor with feedback for the session.
Payment: You choose an hourly rate when you choose a Tutor. You create an account, submit a credit card number. With each session, time spent working with a tutor is simply deducted from your account. Remember, your first session is risk-free. You pay as you go.
